Internet Safety/Social Media Settings

I took a look at Snapchat and the settings within that app.  I know friends who use the Snapchat map to see where people are and that to me is so creepy.  I ensured that feature was turned off as I do not want people to know or see my location unless absolutely necessary.  I have also read articles about lawsuits against Snapchat regarding their privacy policies and tracking people's personal information and location information.
