Admittedly, I do not have a social media site. I explored Google+ for this class. I really liked the ability I was given to keep my videos, playlists and subscriptions on YouTube.
I liked that my Google Photos can be managed and kept private, if necessary. I don't have anything inappropriate, but pictures of family and friends that maybe they wouldn't appreciate if I posted those.
I also liked that I could share my information as I see fit and to who I choose.
I think everyone should remember that if they think it's inappropriate, it probably is. When I watched the video on Social Networking, it reminded me that parents and students alike need to be aware and cognizant of what they're posting.
The same rule applies in social media as it does in texting and email...If you don're recognize the sender, delete it. Period.
