I have facebook, instagram, twitter, and snapchat accounts. I have all my accounts private and check the sites to make sure my privacy settings haven't changed when they do an update. One thing to be mindful of is that anytime snapchat is opened you are on the map. This is because the app uses location. This is a separate setting from privacy.
Snapchat, and those that are like it, along with apps that students have on their phones that conceal their files are dangerous. We need to do a better job of letting parents know how they are being used.
