Internet Safety

Eva Evers
I looked at Facebook and Instagram.  I think it's important to understand and need for a private profile on both platforms.  Also, just because a profile is set to private there are still many options for how far things you post can be viewed.  You can choose to make a post public on a case by case basis on Facebook.  Also, you 'basic information' can be shared with only yourself, friends, friends of friends or everyone.  You should still review each setting to make sure that you know what information is being shared accordingly.  Instagram is a little more 'one size fits all' once you have a private setting you're pretty good.  It does limit your ability to connect in some aspects, but safer is better.
