Internet Safety

Diana Rauterkus
I prefer to socialize in person.  I am not interested in being involved with any type of social network. Partly, I have concerns about my privacy.  Hackers can gain your information and steal your identity through a fake Facebook account.  Secondly, I have been told by many that they spend most of their free time on some type of social network.  Time is valuable to me and I don’t want to spend it look at what is going on in other people’s lives.  Perhaps, later down the road I may change my mind, but for now I will do my socializing in person or by phone.  There is a great need in educating our children or students about the pros and cons of social networks. That is where I would rather spend my time, by doing research on how to teach students to be safe on social media networks.
