I went to my Facebook page and looked at my settings. I think the most important setting is who can view. Mine is set at Friends. I feel safe with this since I only have about 20. That keeps me real busy reading the news feeds, liking and occasionally commenting. I enjoy their posts and videos. I rarely post anything myself. When looking over my settings, I noticed that I had not reset my password for a long time, so I did that. Saved it in my 1Password app so that I can look it up if I forget.
A lot of the settings are confusing and if you don't really consider them and look at the options, you could run into danger. It takes some time, and so with kids being so impatient, I can see where someone could not have it set safely. I can see if you are a business with a Facebook page, you would want the "who can view" set to everyone, but not if you're an individual.
