Internet Safety

Dominique Akpore
I looked through my Instagram and Facebook settings to see what more I could do to keep myself safe on those platforms.

The key things I feel users need to know on facebook is to how to set all of their settings to friends only. I realized that not all of my information was set to friends only which is very important cause online thieves and predators can use any little bit of that information to steal my identity. You can also control who can tag you in pictures and have any tags approved prior to posting on your wall.

On Instagram, the huge thing people need to know is that you do not have to have a public page. Users can easily set their page to private so any new followers have to be approved to see any of your personal pictures. I also fixed my ad settings so I'm not getting bombarded with useless ads.
