Changing passwords (Facebook, Gmail) on a regular basis is easy, but also easy to not do! I try to do it every year, but am planning to be more diligent on changing it every 6 months.
I never post anything online I am not willing to share with anyone, only takes a few seconds for someone to repost it, then it is out of my control.
The biggest issue I have recently is those who post without permission. Just because someone allows you to take their photo does not give them the right to post it online.
