I have Facebook, Twitter (which I don't use), Instagram and Google+ (which I don't use). I think what students need to be most aware of is that it is important to routinely check your privacy settings. I have had the privacy settings on my accounts reset, and become completely public. Every so often I check to ensure my information is still classified as privatized. Secondly, I think students should ask themselves, "How does posting this affect how people see me?" If students thought about how what they post affects the way others think of them, I hope they would be more careful about what they share.
