I have a facebook account (my wife set it up for me or I may not have one) so that is what I checked for privacy settings. Amazingly I found that the public could see my future posts and everyone could look me up by my email address or telephone number (not provided). It didn't take long to tighten down the hatches in all the settings. My wife says I should not worry as I very seldom post anyway. However, even though I am not so concerned for myself, I am very concerned for my grandchildren as my children seem to post many pictures, etc.
I have made it a rule to never friend a student or a former student until they have been out of high school for at least 2 years. There is no use to invite trouble.
