Internet Safety

Becky Feser
I looked at my settings on Facebook. I hadn't checked them since I started my account a few years back. I was relieved that I don't have much info about myself other than bday and where I went to school. I have more info on my school teacher web page about myself and am thinking of eliminating some of that. I think if someone really wanted get info on a person it wouldn't be hard but why make it easy? I am not a "poster" on Facebook and don't Tweet either. Someone asked me why I don't post and I said I just enjoy looking at what others have out there. That person accused me of being "A Facebook stalker"! Had never heard of that. It amazes me how much time and energy is being spent on Facebook. Got better things to do.

Thanks for your thoughts.  They are like mine.  I have other things I would rather do than be on face book and become addicted to it.  I don't want to be active, but just see pictures of family and friends.

I'm thinking about taking my birthday information off as well.  I'm assuming people can use that to get your birth certificate from the courthouse if they had your full name as well as your maiden name.  There are some posts that ask you to list your town of birth, when is your birthday, etc..  and at first you don't recognize them as scams because it seems like a great way to get to know people on facebook.  Don't pass them on.  Ugggg!
