I looked at Facebook and instagram. I use FB myself but keep it to a minimal because of security reasons and personal privacy. We live in a small town where everyone know everyone so I often see a lot of students pop up on FB. I have had a few try to add me but I also believe that students and instructors shouldn't be FB friends. I have used this website if a student has been missing from school or if we are having issues with a group of students at school. It's pretty issues to find the source of the drama and what kids are doing in their free time.
Instagram was a little scarier to me. I googled a random student in one of my classes and his instagram account came up with everything that he has said in the last couple of weeks. I was kind of shocked as it seems there are less filters on Instagram then there are on FB.
