I do not use social media sites. The site I decided to explore was instagram. After spending time looking around the site and checking on line, it looks they have a few options for privacy. You can make your profile setting private which allows you to choose who can follow you. You can also block people from your site as well. Those were the only two safety settings I found exploring Instagram.
