I looked at my settings on Facebook. I try and keep everything private to myself and family but I noticed that one of my settings was set to friends of friends and that I could be searched by people that really had no business knowing me.
When I looked at my twitter I changed my setting to where my own thoughts could not be retweeted. I also made it harder for me to be found by random companies.
