Internet Safety with Social Networking Sites

I explored Facebook's privacy settings for this activity and was encouraged by my findings. Using the "Privacy Checkup" page under my profile settings, I was able to review settings about who can see what I share, how to keep my account secure, how people can find me on Facebook, my data settings, and ad preferences. Facebook made the privacy review process very simple using straightforward picture directions. The whole review took less than 10 minutes to complete.

Some of the most important settings I'd suggest other users reviewing if active on Facebook would be checking the settings for who can see what you share, keeping your account secure, and your data settings on Facebook. The section reviewing who can see what you share allows you to control who can see your basic profile information, such as birthdate & year, email address, phone number, and more. The section about keeping your account secure allows you to set up a secure password and turn on two-factor authentication for signing in. The data settings section on the privacy checkup page allows you to review with apps and/or websites have been linked with your account, therefore, having access to private information you may not want to be sharing.
