Living and working overseas for the past 20+ years, social media has been helpful to keep connected with various people I have met in different countries. Although, I'm careful of what I post on Facebook, and other social media forums. Our students (Universal American School of Kuwait) use ALL forms of social media, and are able to side-step all the 'filters' used by the Kuwait government. We (UAS) block Facebook usage at our school, and we have other filters in place in compliance with the Ministry of Education.
