Introducing Financial Literacy in Preschool

In the preschool setting financial literacy can be introduced through dramatic play.  The dramatic play area can have a "store" set up with items to buy , play money, etc.  Teaching personal finance through children's literature is another way to introduce young children to this basic necessity to meet needs for daily living.  The University of Minnesota Extension also has a list of children's books that teach personal finance as well as including the concepts mentioned in the books.
