Is Concrete Floor Grinding in Gold Coast worth doing before installing new flooring?

avniluis

Hi everyone,

I'm renovating an older property and have been advised to get Concrete Floor Grinding in Gold Coast before installing tiles or vinyl flooring. The existing concrete has a few uneven spots and some old adhesive that needs to be removed.

Has anyone here had this done recently? Did it make a noticeable difference to the final flooring result? Also, how long does the process usually take, and is there anything I should ask the contractor before booking?

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice based on your experience. Thanks!

Yes, it's definitely worth doing. Concrete Floor Grinding in Gold Coast creates a smooth, level surface by removing old adhesives, coatings, and uneven areas. This helps new flooring adhere properly, improves the finished look, and can prevent issues like lifting or cracking later on.

I had this done before installing new flooring, and the result was much better than expected. Sirius Concrete Cutters completed the grinding efficiently, kept dust to a minimum, and left the surface ready for installation. It's also a good idea to ask whether they use dust-controlled equipment and if they'll inspect the slab before starting.
