Just got a Wrangler and already stressing about keeping it alive in the desert

So I finally went and did it – traded in my sedan for a Wrangler because I've been wanting to explore more of the UAE outside the city, but now that I actually have it I'm kind of paranoid about messing it up on the first real trip. I've been watching a ton of YouTube videos and reading forums trying to figure out what actually needs attention after a day of dune driving because I hear sand can wreck certain parts if you're not careful. Found this one page on uaebalancecheck that had some solid maintenance advice for off-road adventures, specifically about checking the air filter and undercarriage afterwards which I honestly hadn't even thought about. My question for you guys though is how often do you really need to service the transmission if you're going out maybe twice a month? Some people say every 20k, others say much sooner if you're pushing it hard in the dunes. Just trying to get a feel for what's normal before I end up at the garage for no reason.
