Upon looking at the "These Resources", there were none that I could see or jumped out at me other than this was a page seeking followers from what I gathered. As for keeping students safe and yourself professionally safe I try to error on the side of caution when dealing with public domains like Google+. Children need to be very private and guarded when using these sites as there are too many tragedies that happen when a child shared too much information placing them at risk. I would hope that the use of all social media for children especially is monitored by their parents and the parent actively supervises their child to avoid possible predators.
For me as a professional, I have a hard time allowing students to use social media with me and I have never done so for the reason of protecting myself professionally. Also, my places of employment suggest not doing so as you would put yourself at risk and possibly be terminated. I will always try to guide and monitor my students for their own safety and to assure the best learning opportunity for them.
