Middle school students

Many times I have seen middle school students with their hands out expecting money for wants not needs.  These students need financial literacy that will open up their minds.  The majority of these students will be lost in future endeavors-work or college.  We as teachers need to open their minds up to the aspects of financial literacy or they may go deep into debt.

I completely agree with you! I even see this with my own children and their friends. They just expect mom or dad to hand over any cash on them! We do have chores at our house so if a kiddo is wanting some extra spending money, they need to do extra work to earn it. Very few of my students have chores anymore.
