Some say that three years is the maximum you should push a battery in this climate and I should replace it now before it fails. Others say that's wasteful and I should wait until I actually see signs of weakness because a good battery can last four or even five years. I don't have a lot of extra money right now, so spending 300 to 400 dirhams on a battery I might not need yet is not ideal. But getting stranded and having to pay for emergency roadside service and possibly missing work is also expensive. Is there any way to test my battery to know for sure if it's still healthy or if it's about to fail? I've seen those little handheld testers at the hardware store but I don't know if they're accurate. Can a normal garage do a proper load test for a small fee?
