New learning, review, and implementation

The new learning for me was reading all of the art styles listed in the art terms of the glossary, including the one that I added about cubism. That glossary made me do some research to really find the definition of that art form. The review was the information on line, color, value, shape, form, space, and texture. I want to try these concepts as a music teacher by spending more time incorporating the use of looking at famous paintings and other pieces of art into my classroom while children are listening to music. The books that we use even have paintings in them and things about the artist, so this will be a helpful tool to get started to do this, This will add a new layer to my music classes, and it will be great teaching "across the curriculum."
