I feel that in the classroom environment we as teachers are responsible for setting a good example. I believe we are also responsible for letting students know what their rights are in the digital world. If we implement rules like treating everyone the way you want to be treated and making students realize they are responsible for their actions we can then hope they will implement and follow these rules in the digital world as well. I think we really just need to express to students that while they have the right to post anything they want on social media or online it cannot be taken back. It is their responsibility to make sure what they are posting is appropriate and that is will not negatively impact their future as a person or professional.
