In the non-digital world, we have the right to do and say as we wish until we interfere with the rights of others or violate laws, rules of the workplace, or rules of the school. The same is true in the digital world. Along with the rights come responsibilities. Not only to respect the rights of others and follow the laws or rules, but also to share and use information responsibly. Our students have been given virtually unlimited access to the Internet--the good and the bad. We must continually teach and remind them about rights and responsibilities while online.
