People should be able to express themselves as long as it doesn't hurt or offend anyone, including themselves.
The user is responsible for knowing what is appropriate or not appropriate to post. They have to be taught what is right and what is wrong. You could get your self into a lot of trouble if you didn't know that something was illegal, or that something you say could be slanderous to another.
