Just like having freedom of speech  with our mouths we also have the freedom to write and post whatever we want online. But that can also have consequences. We can lose friends, hurt people's feelings, if it infringes on others rights of feeling safe we could have the police involved. One rule I give myself is, if I can't say it to someone's face then I shouldn't be typing it either. Some people have keyboard courage. It's a lot easier to sit behind a screen and type things to someone or a group then to speak it to their face.
