I believe that everyone has the right to be treated with respect online. We all have the right to have freedom of speech, however everyone needs to post responsibly and not make irresponsible or inappropriate posts. People should not criticize others online. Often times, people feel more powerful when they are hiding behind their computer screens. We all need to remember that hurtful and inappropriate comments can cause mental health problems in people of all ages. There is a lot of online bullying going on and it's affecting people of all ages all around the world.
Online privacy is another concern. It seems like there is too much information online. People need to understand that once something is posted, you can never take it back. Sometimes people make posts irresponsibly and other times people post about others. Sometimes images are even stolen and reposted. It's very eye-opening to google your name just to see what little privacy we have online.
The Internet can be an amazing tool, but we we need to use it responsibly and there needs to be laws in place to protect peoples' privacy.
