I think that Digital Citizenship should be taught to all students and reviewed each year as they start out just to remind them what is good/bad. We are not 1:1 computer but in the high school each classroom teacher has the availability for students to complete work. This is good but kids need to know their responsibilities with how to handle their computer use and what will be acceptable once they go into the work world. I think many of them take for granted their computer privileges and don't think about consequences of their actions. Being able to use the computers for all their work is great but it is a privilege not a right. Developing them into lifelong learners is all of our goals and making them realize what is appropriate is part of what we should teach then in the digital world.
