What user rights do you feel should be part of the norms in this digital world? What user responsibilities do you feel should be expressed in this digital world?
I believe user rights that should be norms are rights that protect the individual's privacy, and freedoms. As a teacher I think it's part of our job to teach students appropriate use and and all the responsibility that goes along with technology and digital access. I also believe there needs to be communication and dialog with parents as well because as we know education doesn't just come from school. Parents are the first and constant educators in their children's lives. They also need to be informed when it comes to rights and responsibilities in a digital world.
One of my favorite quotes is, "With great power comes great responsibility." I use this quote often when teaching digital citizenship.
