Norms and Responsibilities

There are many rights and responsibilities that come with access to technology and knowing these is part of being a good digital citizen. These rights and responsibilities are key to protecting students and everyone else that is part of the digital community.

Digital Rights: the right to access and appropriately share within digital technology, the right to privacy and safety, and the right to report any inappropriate behavior or content.

Digital Responsibilities: to use appropriate language and content, respect other members, refrain from plagiarizing or stealing material, abide by the rules of individual sites, to follow the Acceptable Use Policy for the school or workplace, and to report any inappropriate usage (cyber bullying, threats, harmful posting)
