Teacher need to make sure we are keeping our students safe and giving them guidelines to follow. It is much like driving a car. Everyone must take drivers Ed and pass tests before getting their license. When you are driving, you have certain rules of the road you must follow. That is the same with the internet. It is important for everyone to know what is appropriate and what is not.
