Norms and Responsibilities

I believe that everyone should have the right to speak what they think.  I also believe that each person should be respectful of other people's opinions.  Too often, people hide behind a screen to say/do hurtful things.  

I agree freedom of speech is important for everyone. I do worry about students being exposed to or passing on misinformation to their peers. Many adults struggle with how to share ideas responsibly online. This is precisely why a class on digital citizenship is so important.

I agree that people often hide behind a false identity to post untruthful and often hurtful information about others.  Cyberbullying is just as hurtful as other forms of bullying.
