I strongly believe that digital citizens should have the right to privacy online. Many websites require personal information that isn't pertinent for creating an account. Social Security numbers, birthdays, telephone numbers, and addresses are all very personal information that is truly not needed for many things on the internet. The privacy of individuals should be taken more seriously when navigating on certain sites.
As adults, I believe we have the responsibility to help the younger generations to be smart about the digital world. I take responsibility for teaching my students right from wrong and also my own children.
