Norms and Responsibilities

What user rights do you feel should be part of the norms in this digital world?  

I think everyone has the right to freedom of speech in the digital world and the right to have their personal information protected.  I think people should be able to share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions online in the appropriate place.  It would be great if these thoughts, ideas, and opinions were educated and based on fact but unfortunately that isn't always the case.  That brings me to my next point.

What user responsibilities do you feel should be expressed in this digital world?

Although freedom of speech should be a norm in a digital society, freedom from consequences should not.  It is my opinion that individuals should be held responsible for what they say or do online, good or bad.  Therefore, being informed with facts and being appropriate in language should always be a norm.
