Norms and Responsibilities

Digital citizenship should include the rights and responsibilities of all citizenship.  Freedom of speech, the right to explore the digital world and the right to participate in the digital world.  With rights however come responsibilities.  "No yelling fire in the crowded theater", no being a keyboard warrior fanning the flames of social media conflicts or damaging reputations.  I see some of my students delight in spreading rumors or sharing embarrasing photos. The schools I work at block some inappropriate sites because young people will be young people.
