Norms and Responsibilities

I feel like the norms and responsibilities in the digital world should be like any other norms and responsibilities we have in the real world. People should be treated with respect and property should be treated with respect. I believe in freedom of speech, but people also need to understand that a large aspect of communication (nonverbal) is lost when you are communicating digitally, whether that be through email, blogging, social media, etc. The digital world affects so many more people than face to face communication. I also think it is important to respect digital property. Monitoring plagiarism and illegal use of digital property is important.
