As an early elementary teacher I see the opportunity that we have to help teach students about digital citizenship, as being closely related to how we teach them to treat others socially. It is important that students understand that their choices can have a negative effect on others or even themselves. They need to see the importance of treating others the way that they want others to treat them when they are on digital sites.
