Norms and Responsibilities

As educators, we need to teach students the norms and responsibilities associated with interactions online in much the same manner that we teach them about the norms and responsibilities in face to face interactions.  Students need guidance in how to navigate and manage the information they receive in person and online.  They often say and do things that they do not understand will be offensive or unsafe.  We are responsible to help them establish positive and appropriate online presences in the same way that we strive to help them establish positive and appropriate reputation and interactions in person.
