Norms and Responsibilities

The same constitutional rights should apply to the digital world but students should be taught about the limits of those too.  For example:  freedom of speech and what they type/text can have positive or negative impacts on their life.  Are they able to accept and deal with those consequences?  The one area that always concerns me is that users need to learn how to type/text responsibly because the way you type words (ALL CAPS, several exclamation points, no punctuation, shortcuts, etc...) can actually cause more miscommunication because you cannot hear the tone of what is being communicated or see the face expression of what is being communicated or even understand the meaning of some shortcuts.
