Norms and Responsibilities

I believe it is the responsibility of the teacher or parent that is allowing the student/child to use the computer or any form of social media to teach them safety precautions. It's so interesting that so many students growing up in this age don't understand the fact that they are leaving lasting images and messages that can never be erased.
I believe in the freedom of speech, but not to the point where it becomes the sole intent to harass and bully. When it turns into that degree and can be proven I believe some action by law needs to become involved.

I also believe that teachers and parents have a responsibility to educate students and their children.  Social media can be amazing and educational but also harmful.  Young people through their youth think nothing bad can happen to them.  The thumb print that they can leave digitally can have long term repercussions.  I believe it is our job to put security procedures in place to shield and protect them.
