Our school district is going 1:1 next year, and I think these are great questions all teachers should be considering as we make this transition. I appreciated the previous video about the importance of teaching digital citizenship. We spend so much time focusing on academics, I think there needs to be a balance. Teaching digital citizenship should become a norm, and an expectation. There are so many resources that are at our finger tips that can take learning to the next level, but first we need to teach students how to make responsible and safe choices. I also liked how Mike Ribble made the analogy about being a trailblazer, and students are creating a permanent trail online. It's our responsibility to make sure the trail students create is one that they'd be proud of 20+ years from now.
