Our students are digital natives and are handed technology at such an early age. Some have no guidance as to appropriate use and safety online. Students need to understand that anything posted on the Internet can be traced backed to them and depending on what they choose to post, this could be life-altering. You are not anonymous out there. Students also need to understand that posting online is not the same as it is communicating face-to-face and be instructed on the differences. Whether they are communicating with people they know or strangers. They need guidance in respect and safety online.
