Norms and responsibilities

Russell Bush
Digital Citizenship is crucial to living in today's world. Teenagers, students, adults and educators all need to know norms and responsibilities of how to behave and respond in the digital world. Some who may not be savvy to these norms and responsibilities may not realize that whatever he or she writes is recorded somewhere. Or as I like to tell my students, "The Internet never forgets".

Dr. Marialice Curran in her TEDx talk states "Digital Citizenship is being safe, savvy and ethical."

I agree with Dr. Marialice Curran in her TEDx talk states "Digital Citizenship is being safe, savvy and ethical."
Thank you for pointing her statement out.  The word that really stands out to me is "savvy".  I think many students have a false sense of how savvy they themselvecs are, and fail to understad tbe skills of a hacker.  I think some type of simulation experience showing what someone does with the data would be helpful in having them undersand.
