Having taught middle school for years, it was clear that digital responsibility was not being taught at home and needed to be taught at school. We would like to think our students leave our classrooms and follow through with the important information we give them about their digital footprints, cyberbullying, digital security, etc. But unfortunately I don't think most of the things we have taught them are realities too teenagers and youngsters.
The amount of information available to students in the digital world is both positive and negative. If they were only using it for educational purposes, life would be much easier as a parent and teacher.
