Norms and responsibilities

In our country we have the right to voice our beliefs and opinions whether in person or through the written word. All of us should protect that right, but it is our responsibility to use our words in a civil manner. We should not degrade others simply because we do not agree with their opinions. Civil discourse in person or on the web should be what each of us expects and strives for individually.
