I think we as educators need to teach our students about safety and honesty on the internet. A lot of kids are using several different social media sites on a regular basis and they need to be aware that not all people are who they are, and their comments are "out there" for anybody to read. Kids need to be responsible for what they say or do on the internet just as they should be in the classroom or at home. Hopefully what we teach them and our influence on them in our teaching will be more powerful to them than what some of the kids get at home - meaning some parents could care less what their kids do or say on the internet.
