Norms and responsibilities

I think students need to be taught how to use digital communication correctly. When I get emails from students, they often send them like they would a text message - no salutation, often almost rude in tone, and then they do not check for replies. I plan on going over this during this school year. Students also need to know what is appropriate to type in emails and what subjects are not. Some subjects should be discussed face to face so students understand the tone intended.

I completely agree with tone and knowledge of personal vs. professional email or any digital communication.

The need to instill correct usage of vocabulary, typing, and appropriate subject is needed more and more.
