I feel it is very important for parents, schools, and employers to educate their students and employees on Digital Citizenship. I also feel it is the responsibility of parents, educators, and employers to provide updated and correct information. As a principal I have handled many cases where employees or students have gotten in trouble in the digital world simply from not knowing what they were doing was wrong or even illegal. To help decrease the number of cases I deal with I have started to have the local police department speak with parents, teachers, and students about digital citizenship.
