This topic is so interesting and so tough to be on top of as an educator or a parent! I remember when my own kids were in school and the cell phone was a newer thing to be privileged with and if it were taken out it was taken away and you picked it up at the office at the end of the day. Now it seems that rule is gone and kids have them out with various excuses for them doing so and so now all actions by teachers or students can be video taped all under the guise of I am using my calculator or some such excuse. I think the best rule to teach responsibility as far as the school day goes is to say NO Cell Phones out of lockers! Is that even possible?
